In 1978, Stu Hart didn’t hand out trust lightly. At just 19 years old, Dynamite Kid earned enough of it that a championship was created around him.
On June 1, 1978, in Stampede Wrestling, Dynamite Kid became the first-ever British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Champion. Not as a favor. As a statement. Speed, stiffness, and a work rate far beyond his years.
He would hold the title four times, testing himself against names like Bret Hart and Norman Frederick Charles III, helping shape the future of Stampede in the process.
This shirt pays homage to 1978.
