The British Bulldogs – The Invasion ’85 Shirt

In 1985, the British Bulldogs finally arrived in the World Wrestling Federation, and the pace changed immediately.

After the WWF’s purchase of Stampede Wrestling in 1984, Dynamite Kid crossed over first. Davey Boy Smith followed once their commitments in Japan were complete. When the team reunited full-time in WWF, it wasn’t a slow build. They were thrown straight into the fire.

Managed by Captain Lou Albano, the Bulldogs brought something the WWF wasn’t built for yet. Explosive speed. Real strength. No wasted movement. In July 1985, their match with the Hart Foundation at Madison Square Garden became an instant benchmark for tag team wrestling in the company.

Throughout 1985, they chased the top of the division, colliding with teams like The Dream Team, Iron Sheik, and Nikolai Volkoff, forcing the WWF to adapt to a faster, harder style.
